Dr. Lahnor Powell, ND, MPH

Dr. Lahnor Powell is a Naturopathic Doctor, doula, public-health educator, and maternal-wellness advocate dedicated to improving the pregnancy and postpartum experience for women and families. With over a decade of experience in health education and clinical practice, she combines evidence-informed medicine with a holistic, compassionate approach to care.

As the founder of Okana Care, Dr. Powell is committed to raising the standard of maternal wellness through education, advocacy, and innovative solutions that support women before, during, and after birth. Her work focuses on empowering mothers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to navigate pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and long-term health.

Dr. Powell holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University. She is a trained birth, postpartum, and lactation doula. She has educated thousands of healthcare practitioners through webinars, conference presentations, and continuing-education programs, and has contributed to the Textbook of Natural Medicine.

A mother of three, Dr. Powell’s passion for maternal health is also informed by personal experience. Through her writing, speaking, and educational products, she seeks to move maternal care beyond survival and toward thriving.
